About PRI

The PRI mission is to provide a full range of programs and services designed to improve manufacturing process and product quality by adding value, reducing total cost and promoting teaming between global stakeholders in the mobility and other interested industries.

Our Purpose

Created in 1990 by SAE Inc., PRI is a not-for-profit organization. It exists to advance the interests of the mobility and related industries through development of performance standards and administration of quality assurance, accreditation, and certification programs as well as related activities for the benefit of industry, government, and the general public.

PRI is led by a Board of Directors with responsibility for the organization's strategic direction and financial stability. The Board is comprised of leading Quality Executives of some of the world’s largest aerospace companies.

The International Headquarters of PRI is in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (USA) with a European office in London (UK) and Asia offices in Beijing, China and Aichi, Japan.

Nadcap: An industry-managed, consensus approach to OEM oversight of special process and product suppliers. Nadcap is an integral part of the supplier management system of most of the world’s aerospace prime manufacturers.

PRI Registrar: An RAB approved Registrar accredited to certify organizations to a variety of management systems including ISO 9000, AS9100, and ISO 14000. Within the RAB and RvA boundaries, PRI Registrar is committed to facilitating its clients achieving the full benefit possible when implementing the various management system standards.
